History
 

  • May 31, 1353 - Founding of Bukovec by Prince Kasimir. The hamlet initially serves as farm base for local guardhouse. Its task was to guard the south-eastern border for Duchy of Teschen.
  • 1577 - At that time, in the village lived 14 families that lived on mainly from cultivation and cattle breeding.
  • 1616 - The reeve was Janek Jursa. In addition, a family of Bielesz and Cmiel were the reeves. Mr. Pilch was the majority owner of land in the village.
  • 1647 - 20 families were registered. Given that the original settlers started a large family, the population increased to 100 soon.
  • 1667 - The Bukovec divided between Mr. Bielesz, Zon, and Chrascina. Four horses, 23 head of cattle, 91 sheep in the village and 163 sheep grazed on Girova pasture were split.
  • 1792 – A parish school was established. Earlier, smith Sikora taught children in his forge. Children learned to write by forged nails on the stones.
  • 1830 - Herman family established the first pub in the village.
  • 1855 - Prince Albrecht from Teschen let built a new school building.
  • 1921 - Founded a group of voluntary firemen.
  • 1924 - Czech school established.
  • July 9, 1932 - Opened tourist lodge on Girova
  • 1937 - A new building for Czech school was built.
  • June 25, 1939 - new church consecrated.
  • 1948 – Electricity to Bukovec was installed.
  • 1960 - Bukovec was transferred from the district of Teschen to artificially formed district of Frydek-Mistek.
  • 1970 - 1980 - The infamous period of collectivization in Bukovec.
  • 1975 - Bukovec incorporated into Jablunkov and called as Jablunkov V. – Bukovec.
  • December 13, 1981 - Temporary closure of the border crossing Bukovec – Jasnowice.
  • July 1, 1990 – Bukovec became as an independent village.
  • August 30, 1992 - The opening of the reconstructed building of the Polish primary school.
  • 1994 - Teopening the border crossing Bukovec - Jasnowice in a limited mode.
  • 2003 - A referendum on joining the EU. In Bukovec, 42% of voters attended, 81% were for join the EU.
  • 2004 - Built a new sports hall (gym) for Czech school.
  • 2005 – Polish building for kindergartens restored.
  • 2005 - Restored the main road through the center of the village.
  • 2005 - Purchased municipal tractor Zetor Proxima 8441 for winter road maintenance.
  • December 20, 2005 – Unexpectedly died incumbent mayor Mr. Josef CMIEL.
  • 2006 - Major reconstruction of local roads.
  • 2006 – Built ski slope, ski lift, technological building, and parking.
  • 2007 - Restore of the municipal office building.
  • April 30, 2007 - Put up of the first maypole on Kympa hill.
  • 1. 9. 2007 - Municipality Day - the inauguration of a new holiday resort.
  • 30. 9. 2007 - The first year of  "PEKOČ CUP 2007" contest and the meeting of tractors by home-made production.
  • 2007 – Built a system for skip slope artificial snow generation including water supply from Olza river.
  • 5. 12. 2007 - Nicholas Day for the first time at a resort near the municipal building.
  • 20. 12. 2007 - Entrance into the Schengen area, cancel of checks at the Bukovec  border.
  • 22. 12. 2007 - Ceremonial closure of the frontier crossing Bukovec – Jasnowice.
  • 22. 12. 2007 - Formal opening of the ski area Kempaland.
  • 11. 1. 2008 - Bukovec became a partner in the project “Sance – Valy. ”
  • 10. 4. 2008 – Mr. Jiri Paroubek as former chair of CSSD political party visited the Bukovec.
  • 2. 8. 2008 - The first year of the championship in manual mowing at the easternmost point of the Czech Republic.
  • 26. 11. 2008 - Pensioners' Club founded in Bukovec.
  • 22. 5. 2009 – Mr. Miroslav Novak as Deputy Governor of the Moravian-Silesian region visited Bukovec.
  • 29. 8. 2009 - The opening of a new Nordic Walking trails.
  • 31. 3. 2010 - Ing. Milan Urban as former chair of CSSD political party visited the Bukovec.
  • 1. 5. 2010 - Ski bar leased by ANROBI SHOP on behalf Romana Bielesz.
  • 26. 6. 2010 - A unique event in Kempaland "Rogaining International Championship. "
  • 19. 5. 2010 - A landslide in Girova hill.
  • 2010 - The village received a grant to fix the communication cycle routes Bukovec – Hrčava.
  • 2010 - The village received a grant for the reconstruction of the Bukovec municipal building from Ostrava Regional Council (Programme Regional Operational Programme Moravia-Silesia).
  • June 2010 – Gift from Nova television due to the floods and landslide in Girova.
  • 8. 1. 2011 - Monseigneur Frantisek Vaclav Lobkowicz  visited Bukovec due to the 60th birthday of Mgr. Adam Rucki.
  • February 2011 - The launch of the new 200 m ski slope and snow park.
  • 7. 5. 2011 - Consecration ceremony of the flag because of the 90th anniversary of the group of voluntary firemen.
  • 15. 5. 2011 - Bukovec village organized a fun performance by the famous entertainer "Ander from Kosice" in PZKO Bukovec.
  • May 2011 - Tomas Graumann visited Bukovec (saved by Nicholas Winton).
  • 4. 6. 2011 – The village Bukovec shot by the flash flood - torrential rain flooded many buildings and roads.
  • 18. 6. 2011 - In cooperation with the club of tourists, a meeting of the International tourists within the European event EURORANDO 2011 was organized.
  • 19. 9. 2011 - Pekoč Cup contest and the meeting of tractors by home-made production - moderated by Ruda from Ostrava.
  • 19. 12. 2011 - The start of the Malina ski nursery in Kempaland.
  • December 2011 - Technical Services Bukovec, Ltd. received a grant from the budget of the Regional Council of the Moravia-Silesia region for the project "Facilities for children's ski school. "
  • 21. 4. 2012 - "Earth’s Day in Goralia" - all the children from two local schools involved the project.
  • 12. 5. 2012 -T first annual competition “Iron Fireman” held in Bukovec.
  • July-August 2012 - Total replacement of windows at the primary school with Polish language and the first phase of the replacement of windows in primary schools and kindergarten.
  • July-October 2012 - Construction of in-line fitness trail.
  • August 2012 – New spring in Bukovec which is located near the path leading to the Girova lodge.
  • September 2012 - The 80th anniversary of Girova lodge.
  • September 2012 – Renting of Kempaland premises including summer operation by Laderix Company, Inc. with the vision of further investment and development.
  • 2012 - Construction of a drainage ditch near the former collective farm.
  • 25 August 2012 - On the occasion of Day of the Bukovec village, a memorial plaque was consecrated with the names of former mayors Josef Cmiel and Petr Jalowiczor who contributed to the extraordinary development of the municipality.
  • 27. 10 - Nov. 1, 2012 - Exhibition on the theme of "four seasons" organized by the Club of seniors.
  • January 2013 - The village Bukovec took second place in the competition "Prize of the region for social responsibility for 2012".
  • March-October 2013 – Reconstruction of Bukovec Elementary School building.
  • March 2013 - Approval of the new logo of the village on the occasion of the 660th anniversary of its foundation.
  • May 2013 - The conclusion of grant agreements for the project "Travelling through Europe" implemented within the ROP NUTS II Moravia 2007-2013.
  • 2013 - Construction of high voltage power lines by CEZ Distribution in part called Zarymbczok.
  • July-August 2013 - Implementation of the second phase of the replacement of windows in primary school and nursery school Bukovec, reconstruction of sanitary facilities - bathrooms in kindergarten.
  •  August 31, 2013 - The village celebrated the anniversary of 660 years since its establishment.
  • 2013 - Mapping the current status of drinking water supply and the identification of the most suitable locations for drilling.
  • August 2013 – Place of the container on pickup of clothing, footwear, textiles and toys.
  • November 2013 - Publication of a book about Bukovec called "Bukovec - the easternmost village in the Czech Republic. "
